Questionnaire

I3 NET Infrastructure Exchange

I3 NET is a network of Coordinators and Managers of EC funded projects called I3’s (Integrated Infrastructure Initiatives) and CA’s (Coordinated Actions). The network was set up under FP6 to exchange good practice in the management and organisation of projects. We also provide feedback to the Commission relating to the development of FP7. We have established a very good dialogue with the Commission, which hopefully will benefit us all in future Framework Programmes. If you would like to know more about I3 NET then please browse this website (http://i3.neutron-eu.net).

Recently the members of I3 NET have been considering a proposal to investigate mechanisms for Infrastructure Exchange outside of existing EU access programmes. EU access programmes enable infrastructures to be used more efficiently and shared internationally. However, the access programmes are limited and this means that efficient use is not guaranteed or easy to achieve. In order to verify the need and gauge the interest in an exchange programme, I3 NET are collecting information on the current access to Research Infrastructures in Europe.

We have contacted the Coordinators of I3 projects and asked them to provide contact details for all the facilities within their programmes. Could you please find the time to complete this very simple web questionnaire. If you have any questions then please contact Rowan White (Project Manager - I3 NET) at r.m.p.white@rl.ac.uk or Julie Bellingham at J.Bellingham@rl.ac.uk.
